Murray is one of those rare persons who appreciates all forms of motorsport: in fact he goes beyond appreciation and actu-ally has participated in a wide variety of motorsport events. He started as the official track photographer at Callister Park from 1968 through 1970, and at Westwood and Mission Raceway from 1968 through 1971.

He was the WESCAR Mini Stock Champion in 1975 and 1976.

He competed in demolition derbies at Callister Park in 1970 and at the PNE from 1972 through 1987. He was the winner of the last main event at Callister Park on October 11, 1970. Murray earned a spot in the Top 20 Drivers' every year at the PNE and was the only driver to do so. He had Demolition Derby top points in 1975, 1984 and 1985, and was the Demolition Derby Grand Champion 1978 and 1982. As well, he was Figure 8 racing champion in 1976, 1979 through 1986 and Roll Over King from 1973 through 1976. Murray was chosen as the number one competitor in the Satellites Motorsport 20 year history and was the winner of Canada's first Tractor Trailer Demolition Derby at BC Place in 1987.

Pull West Productions in Dallas, Texas; Kansas City, Kansas; Los Angeles, California; Tulare, California; Spokane Washington and Yakima, Washington.

Murray competed in oval track racing at Langley Speedway, where he was the top point winner - Contact Auto Racing (CAR WARS) in 1979, and the top point winner -Bomber class in 1982 and 1983. He ran in the 1987 300 lap Street Stock En-duro at Evergreen Speedway, where he took first place.

Murray had an entry in every Custom Car Show at the PNE from 1974 until the last one in 2002. He was awarded Grand Champion in 2000 with his Ace Ventura 1975 Pontiac Ventura. In 2005 Ace Ventura won Best of Canada and Street Machine/Pro Street Sweepstakes at the Seattle Roadster Show. He attended the 25th. Anniversary ISCA. Grand Finale in Detroit, Michigan with his Black Gold 1978 Plymouth Arrow NASCAR Modified. He took first in his class and International Class Champion.

Murray continues to be active as a tech official for Satellites Motorsports Shows, Northern Lights Motorsports shows, Blacksheep Motorsports and Clear Channel events and is the classification and judging supervisor for several outdoor car shows. Murray still competes in any of-ficials' races and has driven in some form of competitive motorsport event from 1967 to the present.

Murray loves to compete,. and win. He has over one thousand trophies in his collection, so he wins a lot. More than anyone else that I have ever met.
